    • Michael Hsu Office of Architecture is pleased to launch the 2026 Design for All Partnership.

      Design for All Partnership is an annual seed program, supporting community-driven partners through design.

      Michael Hsu Office of Architecture is seeking a nonprofit partner in Austin, Houston, or Dallas/Fort Worth that demonstrates a need for design services. Our goal is to provide architectural and interior design solutions that are realistic and affordable, and that directly support the organization’s mission.

      The Award

      If your proposal is selected for this partnership, MHOA will develop a custom design deliverable to suit your needs. The partnership award is $20,000 in pro-bono design and consultation services. Services may include visioning, site analysis, feasibility studies, master planning, site planning, conceptual design, architectural and interior design consultation. 

      Example Deliverables*

      1. An analysis of the potential building or site
      2. Preliminary site and floor plan(s)
      3. One architectural rendering 
      4. Pricing narrative 
      5. Proposal for continuing design services and schedule

      * Deliverables can be adjusted based on project needs.

      Eligibility

      • Must be registered 501C3
      • Located within a 50-mile radius of Austin, Houston, or Dallas/Fort Worth 
      • Master Planning projects should be 50 acres or less
      • Architecture and Interior Design projects should be less than 20,000 sf

      Exclusions 

      • Hazardous materials and mitigation
      • Single-family residences 

      Submission Process

      1. Complete the application form and submit optional supplemental information via this link by May 15, 2026, at 5:00 pm. Any submissions entered after that time will not be considered.
      2. If you have any questions regarding the submission process or the Design for All Partnership, please send an email to designforall@hsuoffice.com by April 10, 2026. Questions and answers will be posted on this webpage on April 24, 2026.

      • Shortlist Interviews – June 8-19
      • Partnership announced – June 26

      Design Schedule*
      Dates will be coordinated with Selected Partner.

      • Design Kick-off – July 6 – MHOA begins internal design efforts
      • Client Review Meeting #1 – July 24 – First in-person meeting to share updates and design as it relates to your organization and mission
      • Client Review Meeting #2 – August 28 – Second in-person meeting to share updates to the design package
      • Final Presentation & Conclusion of Partnership – September 25 – Final meeting sharing final design and marketing package & Partnership wrap-up
