The designs for these drive-thru and dine-in, local hamburger stands were inspired by mid-century car culture. The P.Terry's projects address both the patron and place emphasis on the automobile. Key architectural features include expansive indoor/outdoor roof structures and large expanses of floor-to-ceiling glass. Other elements include an open kitchen and the use of natural, tactile materials, such as wood and stone. In addition, the open plan concept and seating nurtures the neighborhood-oriented dining experience. Each restaurant is designed site-specifically and therefore are each architecturally different, yet all remain constant to the integrity of the brand.
