This Austin “starchitect” is designing eye-catching building across the U.S. His hometown work includes South Congress Hotel, Waterloo Park Family Pavilion, famed sushi restaurant Uchi, ATX Cocina, The Line Hotel, and an untold number of head-turning P. Terry’s Burger Stand locations. He and his team are also altering streetscapes in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles and New York City. Big-time developers such as Catellus, CBRE, Endeavor Real Estate Group, Lincoln Ventures, and Transwestern call on his office regularly, and ever-growing chains from McDonald’s to Torchy’s Tacos seem to have him on speed dial.
