For the second restaurant for Chef James Holmes of Olivia, this cozy fried chicken spot utilized an existing building just off of South Congress Avenue. While keeping much of the original building in tact beyond, the front entry was clad in reclaimed wood shipping pallets to give a rustic and textured identity to the restaurant. A large string light covered patio covers a field of reclaimed wood picnic tables and connects the inside to out. The interior is a modern take on oyster shacks along the Gulf Coast with exposed plywood ceilings and vintage industrial light fixtures. A large chalkboard wall totes the daily specials while the antique jukebox plays Texas music all day long.
